The Gunslinger's Hop is a Colonial & World War Bar Lounge — deliberately built for those who know that atmosphere cannot be manufactured.
This space carries the feel of an old-world military club — because it was built by one. We are part of Molay Satrya Indonesia Group — a private group of disciplined ventures founded in 2009 from a dormitory in Yogyakarta. Over sixteen years, that founding discipline earned the trust of Indonesia's most demanding institutions: Law Enforcement, Military Special Operatives, a direct procurement contract with the Indonesian National Military (TNI AD), and design commissions from the Indonesian State Palace and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. That heritage is not decorative. It informs every decision made in this room.
Every beam, door, and piece of furniture was hand-sourced from across the Indonesian archipelago by Reclaimed by Molay — the group's architectural heritage arm. No synthetics. No reproductions. A reminder that old does not mean outdated. Only timeless.
What you are sitting in is the Colonial & World War era — the period when Jakarta was still Batavia, when the evenings belonged to long conversations, careful pours, and music that filled the room without asking permission. Come for the whisky and cocktails. Stay for the music. You will find yourself in a space where conversation happens naturally — formal or otherwise.

The week starts with jazz. Not the background kind — the kind that fills the room and demands your attention. The week was made for this.
Intimate, stripped-back, and soulful. Tuesday Rewind is not a performance — it's a conversation between musicians and the room.
Classical strings in the colonial dark. Svbito brings a sound the old walls of this building were made to hold.
Traditional keroncong meets the atmosphere it was born for. No other bar in Jakarta does this — and none should.
Live jazz to open the room, DJ Caviarbites to close the night. The night that never ends is back every Friday.

This room is also the creative home of Societeit de Harmonie ft. Natasya Elvira — GSH's resident jazz ensemble, whose content filmed in this room helped them grow to over 800K followers. The atmosphere speaks for itself.
